About Our Supplements

What are Crown Crest supplements designed to do?

Our soft chews are complementary feeds developed to provide targeted nutritional support for dogs.

Our initial collection focuses on three areas of everyday wellbeing: joint health and mobility, calm behaviour, and healthy skin and coat condition.

They are intended to complement a complete diet and appropriate everyday care.

Who are Crown Crest supplements suitable for?

Our three initial formulas are developed for adult and senior dogs.

Always check the product label for suitability and feeding instructions. If your dog is pregnant, lactating, taking medication or receiving veterinary care, consult your veterinarian before use.

Are Crown Crest supplements veterinary medicines?

No. Crown Crest supplements are complementary feeds, not veterinary medicines.

They are intended to support normal bodily functions and everyday wellbeing. They do not treat or cure medical conditions and should not replace veterinary examinations, prescribed medication or professional treatment.

Who develops Crown Crest's formulas?

Our supplements are developed with a PhD veterinary nutritionist.

Can I give Crown Crest supplements to cats or other pets?

No. Our formulas and feeding instructions are specifically intended for dogs.

Feeding & Daily Use

How many soft chews should I give my dog?

Always read the feeding guide on the product label before use.

Follow the recommended daily amount for your dog's weight and the specific product. Do not exceed the stated daily allowance.

How should I give the soft chews?

The chews can be offered whole or broken into smaller pieces, depending on your dog's size and eating habits.

You can also mix the pieces with your dog's usual food. Ensure your dog receives the intended serving and always has access to fresh drinking water.

Should I give the chews at a particular time of day?

No specific time is required. Choose a consistent time that suits your dog's routine and makes it easy to keep track of the daily amount.

For predictable stressful events, our Calming formula has additional guidance explained below. Always check the product label.

Do I need to gradually introduce the chews or start with a higher amount?

No. Follow the stated daily feeding amount from the beginning.

There is no recommended adaptation or loading period. Always follow the product label and do not exceed the recommended daily allowance.

Can Crown Crest supplements be given every day?

Yes. Our soft chews are formulated for consistent daily use as part of your dog's nutritional routine.

Follow the daily feeding instructions printed on the product label.

How long does one container last?

Each container contains 120 soft chews. The number of days depends on your dog's daily feeding allowance.

Daily amount Container lasts
1 chew 120 days
2 chews 60 days
3 chews 40 days
4 chews 30 days
5 chews 24 days

Always refer to the product label to determine the correct daily amount for your dog.

Can I combine Crown Crest products with other supplements or medications?

Consult your veterinarian before combining supplements or giving them alongside medication.

Provide the full ingredient lists and feeding amounts so your veterinarian can check for overlapping ingredients or possible interactions.

How should I store the soft chews?

Store the container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the lid tightly closed and the product out of reach of children.

Joint Care: Mobility & Flexibility

What is Crown Crest Joint Care designed to support?

Joint Care is developed to help maintain normal joint health, mobility and comfortable movement.

Its ingredients provide nutritional support relating to joint flexibility, cartilage maintenance, connective tissue and normal joint lubrication.

Can healthy adult dogs use Joint Care, or is it only for older dogs?

Joint Care is formulated for both adult and senior dogs.

Healthy adult dogs can include joint nutrition in their everyday routine, while older dogs may benefit from additional nutritional support as part of their wider care.

What ingredients are included in Joint Care?

The formula includes green lipped mussel, algal oil providing omega 3 EPA and DHA, avocado soybean unsaponifiables (ASU), Boswellia, curcuminoids, eggshell membrane, hyaluronic acid, astaxanthin and manganese.

These ingredients have complementary nutritional roles associated with maintaining normal joint function.

For the full composition, including other ingredients and relevant precautions, please read the product label.

How long should I use Joint Care before reviewing my dog's mobility?

We recommend consistent daily use for 6 to 8 weeks before reviewing your dog's progress.

Individual responses can vary. Monitor everyday activities such as getting up after resting, walking and playing, and consult your veterinarian if you have concerns about changes in mobility.

Calming: Serenity & Balance

What is Crown Crest Calming designed to support?

Calming is a daily complementary feed developed to help maintain normal calm behaviour, relaxation and a settled disposition.

It provides nutritional support alongside appropriate training, exercise, rest and familiar routines.

When might Calming be useful?

It is intended for everyday situations such as travel, visitors, unfamiliar surroundings, changes in routine and loud noises.

Dogs experiencing significant or recurring distress should have an individual care plan agreed with their veterinarian.

Will Calming make my dog sleepy or change their personality?

The formula is intended to support normal calm behaviour, not to sedate your dog or suppress normal activity.

Individual responses may vary.

Should I give Calming before fireworks, car journeys or other stressful events?

For a predictable stressful event, the formulation guidance recommends giving the usual full daily amount 60 minutes beforehand.

If your dog has already received their daily allowance, do not give an additional serving.

Always read and follow the product label.

Can I give extra Calming chews if my dog is particularly unsettled?

No. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount stated on the product label.

If your dog needs additional support or experiences significant distress, consult your veterinarian.

Can Calming be used alongside prescribed behavioural medication?

Only after your prescribing veterinarian has reviewed the formula and daily feeding amount.

Do not reduce, stop or replace prescribed medication when introducing the chews.

Skin & Coat: Nourish & Shine

What is Crown Crest Skin & Coat designed to support?

Skin & Coat provides daily nutritional support for normal skin health, moisture balance, skin barrier function and coat condition.

The formula is developed to help maintain healthy skin and a soft, well conditioned coat.

What makes the Skin & Coat formula different from a basic oil supplement?

Rather than relying on oils alone, Skin & Coat brings together algal omega 3 EPA and DHA, flaxseed, evening primrose oil, zinc, biotin, vitamins E and C, spirulina, brewer's yeast, MOS and a postbiotic ingredient.

This provides several complementary forms of nutritional support within one daily soft chew.

Where do the omega 3 EPA and DHA come from?

They come from algal oil.

Each Skin & Coat chew contains 230 mg of algal oil, providing a combined 150 mg of EPA and DHA.

The 150 mg of EPA and DHA is contained within the 230 mg of algal oil. It is not an additional amount of oil.

Please refer to the product label for the full nutritional composition.

How long should I give Skin & Coat before reviewing my dog's condition?

We recommend consistent daily use for at least 6 weeks before assessing your dog's skin and coat.

You can monitor changes by taking occasional photographs in similar lighting and noting coat softness, shine and overall condition.

Can Skin & Coat be used during a food allergy elimination diet?

Only if the veterinarian supervising the diet approves its use.

The ingredients in additional supplements can affect a controlled dietary trial, so veterinary guidance is important.

Does Skin & Coat replace grooming or parasite prevention?

No. Continue appropriate grooming and your dog's regular parasite prevention programme.

If your veterinarian has prescribed shampoos, skin treatments or other care, follow those instructions.

Safety & Veterinary Guidance

Why is it important to read the product label?

Each Crown Crest formula contains different ingredients and has its own nutritional purpose.

The label provides essential information about composition, suitability, daily feeding amounts, storage and precautions.

Always read the label before giving your dog any supplement, even if you have used another Crown Crest product previously.

What should I do if my dog accidentally eats too many chews?

Contact your veterinarian promptly, even if your dog initially appears well.

Have the packaging available and tell your veterinarian your dog's weight, the approximate number of chews consumed and when the incident occurred.

Do not attempt to make your dog vomit unless instructed by a veterinary professional.

What should I do if my dog's symptoms persist or get worse?

Seek veterinary advice.

Supplements are intended for nutritional support and should not delay the diagnosis or treatment of an underlying health or behavioural condition.
